The Sino-Italian cooperation in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic is being celebrated in a new set of comic books and stamps created by the Communication University of Zhejiang (CUZ).

The online and offline release ceremonies for the themed cultural products were simultaneously held in the Chinese cities of Hangzhou and Beijing as well as in the Italian cities of Rome, Venice and Milan on Dec 17.

Among the attendees of these ceremonies were Pier Paolo Baretta, undersecretary at the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, Robert Parua, an official at the UNESCO Beijing Office, Zhang Kaibing, Chinese deputy consul-general in Milan, and Lian Xiaomin, chairperson of the Zhejiang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.

The Italian-language comic book, titled The Defensive Line of Life, was compiled by CUZ scholars. The book covers the coronavirus' route of transmission, symptoms, diagnosis, and various ways that people can take precautions.
