Haining, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, reported one asymptomatic case of COVID-19 on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The asymptomatic case, an employee with Hangzhou-Haining Intercity Railway, was identified as a case imported from Shijiazhuang in North China's Hebei province, which has seen an outbreak of COVID-19 over the past 10 days.

The city of Haining has decided to implement a "7+7" health management measure for all inbound travelers. In addition to a 7-day concentrated quarantine, these individuals are required to undergo health monitoring for one extra week.

In another development, with the country witnessing the emergence of sporadic cases in several cities over the past few weeks, Shilifeng Prison in western Zhejiang's Quzhou, announced that on-site meetings between prisoners and their family members have been temporarily suspended as of Monday.

During the suspension, remote video interviews can be conducted if the prisoner applies to the prison or a family member applies to the judicial bureau.

In February last year, a total of 34 confirmed cases were reported at the prison, leading to the removal of two top prison officials from their posts.
