Huzhou ranks second nationwide in public service quality

Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province ranked second nationwide in terms of public service quality in 2020, according to the State Administration for Market Regulation.

A total of 110 cities from 31 provincial-level areas were monitored by the administration and evaluated from 12 perspectives, such as education, employment, healthcare, social security, transportation, public security and ecological environment.

Huzhou scored 83.53 points out of 100, ranking second among the monitored cities only after Chengdu, Sichuan province. The other cities that made the top 10 list were Nanjing, Kunming, Xiamen, Nantong, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Ningbo.

In recent years, Huzhou has made great efforts in improving the quality of its public services.

It established the country's first standard system for promoting ecological civilization, as well as formulated 43 local standards for social governance. 

Huzhou has also been listed as the nation's first pilot city for green product certification.

A survey showed that more than 95.2 percent of residents from the city are satisfied with local public transport services.
