Zhejiang releases H1 economic data

The Information Office of the Zhejiang provincial government on July 27 hosted a news briefing about the province's economic statistics for the first half of this year.

The province's GDP stood at 3.4556 trillion yuan ($533.54 billion) in H1, up 13.4 percent from the previous year. The average annual growth rate in GDP over the past two years was 6.8 percent.

The province's industrial value-added for companies above designated size was 946.7 billion yuan in H1, up 20.8 percent year-on-year. The average annual growth rate in this regard over the past two years was 10.1 percent.

The total profits of the province's above-designated-sized industrial companies surged 55.2 percent year-on-year to 326.3 billion yuan in H1, bringing the average annual growth rate over the past two years to 21.2 percent.

Fixed-asset investment in Zhejiang in H1 increased by 14.9 percent from the previous year, bringing the average annual growth rate over the past two years to 9.2 percent.

Zhejiang's consumption goods retail volume in H1 was 1.39 trillion yuan, up 16.4 percent year-on-year, bringing the average annual growth rate over the past two years to 4.4 percent. The province's consumer price index (CPI) in H1 expanded 1.3 percent from the previous year.

Zhejiang's imports and exports in H1 were respectively valued at 537.9 billion yuan and 1.38 trillion yuan, year-on-year increases of 27.5 percent and 39.2 percent respectively. The province accounted for 6.5 percent of the nation's imports and 14 percent of the nation's exports in H1.

Zhejiang residents' per capita disposable income in H1 was 30,998 yuan, up 13.1 percent from the previous year.
