British native Alex Absolute recently experienced some folk activities to mark the Spring Festival in Siqian town, which is inhabited by the She ethnic minority people in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

In the town's Aoling village, Absolute learned how to make local Spring Festival delicacies including niangao, or rice cakes, and tofu, or bean curd.

He also visited Liguang village that same day and tasted the locally renowned pastry cake Pobing before learning how to operate marionettes.

Absolute has been living in Wenzhou for years and has been devoted to promoting Wenzhou to the outside world.

Last year, he visited Zeya town in Wenzhou's Ouhai district and shot a series of videos to document his unique rural experiences. The videos have been aired on Absolute's personal YouTube and TikTok accounts, garnering more than 3 million views.
