Mario Razzanelli, a Florence city councilor, has been promoting relations between Florence and Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province and has seen the great changes that have taken place in Ningbo over the past 19 years.

In 2003, Razzanelli served as the president of the Italian Fashion Association and visited Ningbo for the first time after being invited to the Ningbo International Fashion Festival. Since then, he has visited China more than 60 times and become a bridge linking the two cities.
