Overseas Chinese and foreigners living in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, voiced their thoughts after watching the opening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on Oct 16.

Jin Lizhong, president of the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce in Florida, said he was encouraged by China's emphasis on green and low-carbon development in recent years.

Returning to his hometown Wenzhou to work at a high-tech company in 2018, Jin said that companies, the main driving force behind innovative development, should play their role to promote breakthroughs in key green and low-carbon technologies and the transformation of the production model to become more energy-efficient.
