"Three Five Seven" is a solo piece for flute. In 1957, Zhao Songting, an esteemed flute player and composer, rearranged a piece of Wu Opera's "luantan" tune into a flute solo. In Bai Juyi's household poem, "Memories of the South," the first three lines have three, five, and seven characters, respectively, hence the name of this piece.
