Zhejiang achieves same standard of subsistence allowances in all its cities

Zhejiang province had on Dec 1 achieved the same standard of minimum living allowance in all its cities.

For the first time, the minimum living allowances in all 11 cities in the province have exceeded 1000 yuan per month.

The socially vulnerable group is one of the nine groups that has received special attention for authorities. According to the latest data, there are currently 560,000 people receiving subsistence allowance in the province.

The per capital monthly subsistence allowance standard in Zhejiang is the highest in the country.

Zhejiang had at the beginning of this year raised its minimum living standards. At present, the highest standard is in Hangzhou, which has a minimum living allowance of 1,216 yuan ($172.63) per month.
