The city of Lishui – located in East China's Zhejiang province – is about to make a modest splash on the global toy stage.

That's with 10 wood toy manufacturers from its Yunhe county that are to attend the Spielwarenmesse 2023 – an international toy fair – in Nuremburg, Germany, on Feb 1-5.

The annual Spielwarenmesse is one of the three toy fairs in the world with the most extensive influence and the largest number of exhibitors.

"This is our first appearance in overseas exhibition in three years," said Ye Chen, general manager of Jincheng Wood Industry Co Ltd, one of the participating enterprises.

According to Ye, his business has been adhering to independent innovation, research and development in recent years to make its products more diversified and differentiated.

Ye said that this time the company would showcase more than 100 products – all from its independently developed brand of Leo's Friends – at the fair.
