Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province launched a month-long talent introduction event on Jan 31 to attract more talent to the city.

During the event, over 15,000 companies are expected to participate in over 200 job fairs. Daily job fairs were launched at the Ningbo Human Resource Building and will last until the end of February.

To attract workers from outside the city, 40 talent introduction activities will be held in cities such as Hangzhou, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan and Changchun.

Four livestream activities focusing on industries such as smart manufacturing, petrochemistry and foreign trade will be also held.

To better serve young workers, a digital platform was launched by the Ningbo Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Ningbo Daily Group and Ningbo Branch of China Construction Bank.

The platform, titled "Lovely Hometown in Ningbo", offers nearly 40 services related to life, training, job recruitment, internships, community, alumni association, and working policies.

Life services include catering, apartment renting, public transportation, and tourism. Social groups focusing on different themes, such as e-sports, frisbee, badminton, and short videos, will be established on the platform to help users get acquainted with like-minded people.

The Ningbo alumni associations of 12 colleges and high schools, including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Xiaoshi High School and Zhenhai High School, have already established a presence on the platform.
