Quzhou releases 2022 statistical bulletin

Quzhou's gross domestic product totaled 200.34 billion yuan ($29.06 billion) in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 4.8 percent, according to the government statistical bulletin.

The added values of the city's primary, secondary and tertiary industries were 9.32 billion yuan, 87.41 billion yuan and 103.61 billion yuan, respectively, up 3.6 percent, 6.2 percent and 3.8 percent over the previous year.

Urban employment increased by 30,800, while urban registered unemployment at the end of 2022 was 60,300, down 27.2 percent from the end of the previous year.

The city's total government revenue amounted to 27.78 billion yuan, an increase of 2.1 percent over the previous year, while the revenue in the general public budget expanded 5.6 percent to 17.31 billion yuan.

The revenue of the city's industrial enterprises above designated size totaled 307.74 billion yuan, up 12.9 percent, while that of service enterprises above designated size was 25.64 billion yuan, up 14.8 percent.

The added value of the agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishing industries in the city was 9.57 billion yuan in 2022, an increase of 3.7 percent over the previous year.

The city's grain sowing area exceeded 1.34 million mu (89,920 hectares), an increase of 0.4 percent over the previous year.

The proportion of villages with collective economic operating income above 500,000 yuan reached 51.96 percent, while annual per capita disposable income of low-income farmers in the city increased by 14.9 percent.

The annual per capita disposable income of all residents was 45,276 yuan, an uptick of 6.1 percent over the previous year.

The city's total retail sales of consumer goods saw a year-on-year increase of 4.6 percent to 87.8 billion yuan.

Imports and exports were valued at 61.25 billion yuan in 2022, a growth of 24.3 percent over the previous year. Exports reached 40.19 billion yuan, up 27.3 percent, while imports reached 21.05 billion yuan, up 19.1 percent.

South Korea, the European Union, and the United States were the city's top three trade partners, with exports to these places amounting to 7.7 billion yuan, 5.43 billion yuan and 4.93 billion yuan, respectively.

The city's trade with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative totaled 12.73 billion yuan, up 29.9 percent.
