The Hempel Award 31st China International Young Fashion Designers Contest Finals were held at Deshou Palace in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Oct 21.

Hempel Award is one of the most influential and historically significant international youth fashion design competitions in China, with a 31-year history of nurturing outstanding talent in the Chinese fashion design industry.

The theme for this year’s event was "Originality and Regeneration." It explored the fusion of humanity and the environment from a fashion perspective and reflected on the past, present, and future.

Following a professional review, Chinese contestant Xu Fengxiang from Shandong province clinched the Hempel Award gold prize with his work Rural Edge.
