According to the State Post Bureau, Yiwu had seen the delivery of 10 billion items as of Dec 18, making it the first county-level city to achieve such a feat.

The 10 billionth express parcel was a cultural and creative product sent by Yiwu Bozhong Cultural Products Co Ltd to a customer in Osaka, Japan via China Post's air express line.

He Lihong, general manager of Yiwu Bozhong Cultural Products Co Ltd, said that she was very honored to be the sender of the 10 billionth express parcel in Yiwu, and that Yiwu's first-class business environment and convenient international logistics system made her more confident in doing business.

Zhao Shengping, general manager of Yiwu Branch of China Post Group Co Ltd, also said that the company would further optimize and improve the logistics system, provide better services for the Yiwu market, and fully promote the high-quality development of Yiwu's express delivery industry.

Yiwu has been developing its postal express delivery industry since the establishment of the first county-level postal administration, the Yiwu Postal Administration, in 2014.

Over the past nine years, the annual express delivery volume has increased from 339 million items to more than 10 billion items, and the national share has increased from 2.5 percent to 8.6 percent, making Yiwu the second largest express delivery hub in China after Guangzhou.
