Hangzhou tops sustainability rank three years in a row

Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang province, topped sustainability rankings among 110 large and medium-sized cities for three consecutive years, said a report by the China Center for International Economic Exchanges on Wednesday.

The report highlighted China's continuous improvement in sustainable development, which achieved economic growth while continuing to enhance social welfare, natural resources and environmental conditions. The country also made remarkable achievements in energy consumption and emission control, it said.
