Yueqing hosted the press conference and launch ceremony for the 2024 Yueqing Half Marathon on March 26, signaling the commencement of its first-ever marathon event.

The event allows up to 5,000 runners to participate, including 3,000 for the half marathon and 2,000 for the fun run, and is scheduled to be held at the Yueqing Sports Center on April 14.

The marathon route has been carefully planned to traverse several prominent urban landmarks and scenic spots, including Qinghe Park, Yanpen Mountain viewing platform, Shenglitang Park, Dongyunhe Park and Xuyang Road. The route aims to showcase Yueqing's natural beauty, offering participants a unique opportunity to explore the city while engaging in physical activity.

To ensure the safety and well-being of participants, the organizing committee has implemented a comprehensive race support system. This includes medical volunteers, mobile emergency medical personnel stationed along the route, medical aid stations, ambulances, and designated hospitals.

Additionally, a robust security framework comprising local authorities, government departments, police, and traffic management personnel has been established.

In an effort to improve the experience, the organizing committee has curated various benefits and discounts. Free access to multiple citywide scenic spots, including Yandang Mountain, will be provided. Moreover, a hotel alliance will ensure participants enjoy quality accommodation and exclusive discounts.
