Slovakia, Slovenia take center stage at China-CEEC Expo
The 4th China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair opened on May 22, with hundreds of exhibitors showcasing their latest innovations.
Among the standout attractions were the twin national pavilions of Slovakia and Slovenia, offering visitors a multi-sensory experience that blends technology, culture, and sustainability.

Slovakia's pavilion focused on three key themes: smart mobility, fine wine and cuisine, and crystal craftsmanship. In the mobility section, cutting-edge aviation technologies and full-scale flight equipment demonstrated the future of transportation. The food and wine area featured Slovak red and sparkling wines, alongside cocoa-based delicacies and protein-rich snacks. Meanwhile, intricately cut crystal products, gleaming under display lights, showcased Slovakia’s long-standing artisanal heritage.

Slovenia's pavilion revolved around green innovation and smart technology, featuring clean energy solutions and electric gliders. The highlight was a sleek electric glider from Pipistrel, drawing visitors with its futuristic design. In the food tasting section, guests sampled freeze-dried berry snacks paired with Mediterranean wines. Sports enthusiasts enjoyed an immersive basketball zone, where they could engage in interactive experiences and view memorabilia from NBA star Luka Doncic.
With over 400 Central and Eastern European companies participating, the expo fosters deeper international collaboration, bridging business, culture, and innovation between China and Eastern Europe.
