Officials and forestry experts from Egypt, Ethiopia, Malaysia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and the Solomon Islands recently visited Zhejiang province as part of a China-hosted training initiative focused on sustainable management.

Participants visited Hangzhou and Huzhou cities to learn about China's forest governance and conservation efforts.

In Hangzhou's Xixi Wetland — a national urban wetland park combining ecological, agricultural, and cultural elements — blooming water lilies have become a seasonal attraction for both residents and tourists. The park illustrates how natural preservation can support urban life and development.

Through lectures and field visits, participants explored China's forest management systems and sustainable practices. Many expressed interest in applying the knowledge in their home countries.

Rajan Paudel from Nepal said the visit offered firsthand insight into China's forest development. This has been a valuable learning experience and he can benefit greatly from China's extensive knowledge and practical approaches, he said.
