The Lanting campus of Shaoxing Second Hospital opened its rehabilitation center in late April, offering comprehensive, high-tech recovery services to support patient reintegration into daily life.
Spanning 29,000 square meters, the center includes a 400-square-meter hyperbaric oxygen therapy unit, with an initial rollout of 50 rehabilitation beds and plans to expand to 220. Intelligent displays in patient rooms guide therapy schedules, and adaptive walking systems allow for in-room training.
The 1,000-square-meter rehabilitation facility features 10 treatment zones, including areas for physical therapy and occupational therapy. Cutting-edge equipment such as motion-analysis treadmills, robotic-assist devices, and dynamic balance systems support personalized recovery plans.
A key focus is integrated care for complex cases. The center specializes in orthopedic, neurological, and critical care recovery, along with programs for cancer, burn injury, and chronic illness. Services are tailored for early intervention and long-term care, particularly for elderly patients.
The center emphasizes technology-driven, patient-centered care, combining virtual reality, smart analytics, and multidisciplinary planning. Patients benefit from seamless transitions across diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, all under one roof.
With its scale, innovation, and specialized staff, the center is set to become a provincial leader in rehabilitation medicine — helping patients regain mobility, restore function, and return to their communities with confidence.
