The Zaragoza Chinese School in Spain recently hosted a Qingtian tea cultural exchange event, attracting nearly 100 local residents eager to immerse themselves completely in the rich tapestry of Chinese culture.

The clear star of the event was Qingtian tea from Qingtian county — located in Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province — known for its fragrant aroma and lingering sweetness.

Tea artist Li Jiaqi from Qingtian enchanted the audience with her detailed explanations of the varieties, origins, and production techniques of Qingtian tea. Her elegant demonstration of the correct tea brewing and tasting methods showed the real artistry involved in tea preparation.

Li particularly highlighted the Qingtian Tribute Tea, which refers to high-quality tea leaves that were selected and presented as tribute to the emperors and royal courts in the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644), inviting locals to savor its delicate flavors.

Elisa, a tea enthusiast, said that it was unforgettable to experience Chinese traditional culture up close, including tasting the Qingtian Tribute Tea, and it was a profound immersion into China's rich tea heritage.

Following the establishment of the Qingtian Tea Overseas Window cultural exchange platform in Spain, Wang Xinte, chairman of the Spain-China Friendship Association, has been promoting tea culture events.

These initiatives aim to enhance cultural exchanges and elevate Qingtian tea's profile across Europe, fostering greater global appreciation for its unique charms.
