As Expo 2025 Osaka welcomes global visitors, the China Pavilion is preparing to shine a spotlight on Zhejiang province and its rich cultural and industrial heritage.

Set to launch on July 12, Zhejiang Week will feature a range of programs under the theme of craftsmanship and cultural continuity. At the heart of the celebration will be the Zhejiang Historical and Classic Industries Exhibition, featuring traditional crafts and techniques rooted in centuries-old industries.

The exhibition spans 13 sectors — tea, silk, traditional Chinese medicine, yellow rice wine, scholarly tools, wood carving, root carving, stone carving, celadon ceramics, swords, pearls, ham, and metalwork — all formally recognized for their cultural and historical value.

It will present representative works by 12 nationally and provincially recognized intangible cultural heritage inheritors and master artisans.

Interactive zones will allow guests to engage firsthand with select crafts. Attendees can also craft seasonal sachets with traditional medicinal herbs, offering a hands-on experience that engages multiple senses.
