The blooming lotus flowers drew crowds to the Putuo Rural Complex in Putuo district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, on July 26, offering scenic summer views.
Located in the Zhanmao subdistrict, the Putuo Rural Complex spans around 333 hectares and has become one of the province's earliest demonstration sites for integrated rural development.
The site has adopted an approach that combines agriculture, tourism, culture, and education. It also gives more opportunities to local residents to increase crop yields and incomes through agri-tourism and related services.
