East China's Zhejiang province reported strong growth in its auto industry during the first half of 2025, with total vehicle output reaching 896,000 units, up 18.3 percent year-on-year, according to the Economy and Information Technology Department of Zhejiang.

The province ranked seventh nationwide in total production. New energy vehicles led the surge, with output hitting 510,000 units, up 58.4 percent. Since April, Zhejiang has maintained the fourth-highest NEV output among all provinces.
