The Qinglong Lite, a humanoid robot developed in Longyou county, Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, took center stage when it debuted at the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, held from July 26 to 29 in Shanghai.

Standing 1.4 meters tall, the robot quickly became a highlight of the event.

The Qinglong Lite is a collaborative creation of the National-Local Joint Humanoid Robotics Innovation Center, Longyou-based Zhejiang Hechuan Humanoid Robot Company, and the Eco-Industrial Innovation Institute of Zhejiang University of Technology.

Designed to be a cost-effective and high-performance platform, it targets educational research and interactive applications.

Its multimodal interaction system — integrating voice, expressions, and motion — along with its modular design, makes it ideal for travel guides, exhibition explanations, and service receptions.

Zhu Haijun, deputy general manager of Hechuan, highlighted the company's pivotal role in the robot's development, aiming to establish itself as a leading component supplier. The launch of the robot is expected to accelerate the industrialization of core components and attract new partnerships, according to Zhu.

Han Long, deputy director of the Eco-Industrial Innovation Institute, viewed the launch as a new chapter in Longyou's robotics industry, aiming to reduce reliance on imported components and set a benchmark for future developments.
