In an exciting development, the original She ethnic music piece A Jia Jia has advanced to the final evaluation of the 20th National Qunxing Award, making it the only entry from East China's Zhejiang province in the music category.

The prestigious recognition marked a remarkable journey of the music piece from an alternate position to a finalist at the national level. This achievement follows its surprising victory at the Zhejiang Qunxing Award, where it marked a historic breakthrough for music from Jingning She autonomous county in Lishui, Zhejiang.

A Jia Jia draws inspiration from She ethnic culture, blending light rock music and the sounds of suona — a traditional Chinese woodwind instrument — with immersive stage presentation to depict a vibrant picture of rural vitalization.

The narrative unfolds in the homestay A Jia Jia in a village in Jingning, using unique ethnic costumes and live-streaming racks to bridge tradition with modernity. The music piece also displays the picturesque scenery of Jingning.

The piece is a bilingual performance of Mandarin and the She ethnic group's dialect.

The creative team is now focused on refining the piece further, aiming to present it in its best form at the national finals of the Qunxing Award.
