The foreign-related business environment in East China's Zhejiang province earned a 96 percent satisfaction rate, according to a report released by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Zhejiang Provincial Committee in Hangzhou on Aug 4.

The survey — based on field visits to 1,599 foreign-funded enterprises, 158 symposiums, 378 targeted feedback responses, and over 10,000 questionnaires — offered a detailed review of the province's current business conditions, persistent challenges, and future outlook for overseas investors.

Top-performing indicators included the ease of international personnel movement, living environment for foreign talent, municipal infrastructure, access to business premises, and tax services.

Of the companies surveyed, 96.09 percent said they were satisfied with the local foreign business climate. Profitability remained stable, with 87 percent reporting steady or improved investment returns in 2024. Most firms expressed confidence in long-term returns over the next five years.
