The Zhejiang Provincial Archives has opened an exhibition marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) and the World Anti-Fascist War (1939-45).

Entitled Remember History, Shape the Future, it features over 500 rare documents in seven sections, charting Zhejiang's wartime history — from the anti-Japanese united front and Party-led resistance in enemy-held areas to major battles, civilian uprisings, Japanese atrocities and the final counteroffensive.

Director Wang Liyue highlighted Zhejiang's strategic role in events such as the Battle of Zhejiang-Jiangxi, the Doolittle Raid and the Lisbon Maru incident, underscoring the province's enduring wartime legacy.

Jointly organized by provincial archives and Party organs, the exhibition runs as part of commemorations aimed at educating the public and inspiring younger generations to carry forward the spirit of resistance.
