Ningbo will host two major national youth events: The Model Youth of the New Era program and the China in Children's Voices choral showcase from Aug 19 to 20. Both aim to inspire young people across China through storytelling, music, and cultural exchange.
The Model Youth of the New Era program honors exceptional youth who embody integrity, courage, and civic responsibility. Their stories will be shared during the event to encourage peers to embrace positive values.
Meanwhile, the China in Children's Voices choral event will feature performances by young singers from across the country. This year's theme commemorates the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Through song, children will revisit historic moments and express their hopes for a strong and unified future.
Ningbo's local culture will be woven into the program, with interactive activities such as learning the Ningbo dialect, singing regional rhymes, and visiting cultural landmarks. Prominent Ningbo figures, such as Qian Haijun and Cui Yiwen, will also attend as special guests.
