Pinghu, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, hosted a signing ceremony on Sept 16 to mark a new strategic partnership with JD and two other companies, focusing on the joint development of a Yangtze River Delta regional center.
The agreement includes collaboration in artificial intelligence, fintech, and cross-border e-commerce. JD Technology and Range Intelligent Computing Technology Group Co Ltd will collaborate on computing power projects, while Pinghu, JD Technology, and Zhejiang International E-Commerce Holdings Co Ltd plan to establish a cross-border e-commerce technology program under the new hub.
The center will integrate various parts of JD to drive digital and quality-oriented upgrades in regional consumption. Plans include a cross-border e-commerce industrial park, an AI talent service hub, and a data labeling center, designed to create a base with complementary resources and strong innovation.
The e-commerce park will provide comprehensive services to support local businesses and those of the Yangtze River Delta region in global sales and attract high-quality foreign trade companies. The AI talent service hub will use computing resources to improve talent recruitment, project incubation, and ecosystem growth.
Pinghu's location and industrial momentum have positioned it as a strong partner for JD, which first established an innovation center in the city in 2020. The new partnership is expected to further stimulate trade and consumption while shaping a stronger AI industry framework in the region.
