A high-tech jacket developed by Jiaxing Cloud Dragon, a company based in Tongxiang, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, has become a global hit, with sales reaching 1.3 million units in one year.

The jacket looks like a standard outdoor coat, but its chest logo doubles as a hidden switch. Once connected to a power bank, the built-in carbon fiber heating sheets warm the garment within 60 seconds, and the temperature is adjustable between 35 and 50 degrees. The system allows two to three hours of heating at maximum temperature and up to eight hours at the lowest setting. Safety features include an automatic power cut at 55 degrees and waterproof, breathable fabric suitable for harsh weather.

Durability has been verified through rigorous tests, including 50 cycles of machine washing and drying, as well as high-pressure steam trials. Even after extreme testing, the modules maintained stable performance, addressing concerns about the safety of electrical clothing.

Once a traditional garment manufacturer, the company pivoted to smart apparel through years of research, mastering the carbon fiber heating module. Since last year, Jiaxing Cloud Dragon has expanded through cross-border e-commerce and released four new designs in 2024, strengthening Tongxiang's reputation in intelligent manufacturing.
