Zhejiang readies for National Day, Mid-Autumn Festival

Across East China's Zhejiang province, cities are preparing cultural performances and festive displays for an eight-day break from Oct 1 to 8, when the National Day holiday and Mid-Autumn Festival will coincide.

Air travel demand in Zhejiang is expected to rise during the holiday. Provincial airports are forecast to handle 2.2 million passenger trips, or an average of 275,000 a day, an increase of about 3 percent from last year.

International and regional routes are projected to carry 154,000 passengers, averaging 22,000 daily, up nearly 29 percent year-on-year.
