The China (Hangzhou) Art and Technology Biennale, a key cultural and art exchange event held during the 3rd Liangzhu Forum, has opened at Yuhang Art Museum and will run until Dec 18.

The biennale brings together works by more than 160 artists, scientists, and other creators from over 20 countries and regions.

Using themed exhibitions and cultural dialogues, the event promotes exchange and mutual learning, showcasing the reconstruction and prospects of cultural ecology amid rapid technological iteration. It echoes the theme of the 3rd Liangzhu Forum — "Revitalization of Civilization: Cultural Heritage and Human Cultural Diversity."

The biennale, themed "Cultural Ecological Reconstruction Amidst Technological Iteration," initiates a dialogue between "Heaven, Earth, Human, and Machine" through four core sections: "Connections: Embodied Interaction," "Symbiosis: Digital Education," "Speculation: Ecological Reconstruction," and "Manifesto: Philosophical Inquiry."

The first section allows visitors to experience the connection between humans, machines, and the world through interactive works. The second explores the coexistence of the humanities and technology through digital education. The third invites speculation on how technology and the environment can coexist and evolve. The final section prompts reflection on the values and ethical boundaries of art-technology integration.

The biennale is jointly organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, China Artists Association, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Broadcasting and Tourism, Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the China Academy of Art.
