Global diplomats explore multifaceted charm of Lishui
A delegation of 16 diplomats from 14 countries, including Belarus, Denmark, and Belgium, visited Lishui, Zhejiang province, from Oct 20 to 22. The delegation explored the city's initiatives in green development, cultural preservation, and economic innovation.

The tour began at the Guyan Huaxiang scenic area, where they learned about the ancient Tongji Weir and observed a vibrant local art scene fueled by the region's natural beauty. This area serves as a model for how art can vitalize rural communities.
The visit to leading enterprises highlighted Lishui's economic vitality. At Nice Group, a major daily chemical company, diplomats discussed potential cooperation in global market expansion. Zhejiang Rongqi Technology showcased its industrial drones, with over 400 patents, which support sectors like forest protection and emergency response.
In Jingning She autonomous county, the diplomats immersed themselves in the unique culture of the She ethnic minority. They participated in traditional wedding customs and enjoyed folk songs and tea.

A key stop was Nayun Sky City, a resort transformed from a deserted quarry, demonstrating the successful repurposing of industrial sites into tourism assets.
The trip concluded with a visa work symposium on Oct 22. Officials and local businesses engaged in direct communication to facilitate smoother international exchanges.
Volha Kryvets, acting consul general of the Belarusian Consulate General in Shanghai, said that the visit greatly enhanced their understanding of the region's investment environment and development potential.
