Ningbo culture is making its mark in Brazil as Zhejiang Hengwo Group turns its Sao Paulo warehouse into a hub of trade and tradition.

Staff explored an immersive exhibition that brought elements of Ningbo's heritage onto the warehouse floor. Amazon toucan stamps were pressed onto bookmarks, merging rainforest motifs with traditional Chinese seal art. Celadon pendants, intricate Chinese knot frames, and glowing red drum lanterns added layers of color and texture, while automated machinery continued to handle shipments with precision.

"This dragon dance looks just like our carnival parades," said employee Larissa, as she watched a video of the traditional Fenghua cloth dragon.

Another staff member, Maghaive, carefully stamped bookmarks featuring images of Tianyi Pavilion and a toucan. "I always thought Chinese culture was far away, but seeing and touching these patterns made it feel really close," he added.

Speaking about the initiative, the company's CEO Sun Zongmin said, "Developing the Brazilian market has never been easy. We've faced logistical delays and adapted to local customs, but bringing Chinese culture into our warehouse helps connect people, not just products." He added, "Trade and culture are inseparable. When employees experience the heritage behind our goods, it creates a deeper connection that goes beyond business."

With 80 percent of its staff hired locally, Hengwo emphasizes its commitment to the community. By combining trade with hands-on cultural experiences, the warehouse has become more than just a logistics hub — it now serves as a bridge, connecting people and fostering mutual understanding across continents.
