Huzhou's GDP up 6% in first three quarters
Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province reported the city's GDP of 318.47 billion yuan ($44.82 billion) in the first three quarters of the year, representing a 6 percent year-on-year increase.
Agricultural production showed positive growth, with total output from agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries reaching 20.62 billion yuan, a 4.5 percent year-on-year increase.
The industrial sector remained robust, with 22 of 33 major industrial categories experiencing growth.
The service sector maintained steady growth, with a value-added output of 156.26 billion yuan, up 5.6 percent year-on-year. Notably, the information transmission, software, and information technology services sector grew by 13.1 percent. Meanwhile, the wholesale and retail sector increased by 6.5 percent, the accommodation and catering sector by 5.6 percent, and the financial services sector by 7.4 percent.
Retail sales of consumer goods totaled 141.93 billion yuan, a 5.4 percent increase year-on-year.
The city's total import and export volume reached 133.01 billion yuan, up 5.4 percent year-on-year, outpacing the national growth rate by 1.4 percentage points, while fixed asset investment increased by 2.3 percent year-on-year.
Per capita disposable income rose to 54,395 yuan, with urban residents seeing a 4.4 percent increase to 62,001 yuan, and rural residents a 5.8 percent rise to 41,974 yuan.
