The 7th Overseas Chinese Imported Commodity Expo and Qingtian Imported Wine Trade Fair concluded on Nov 16 in Qingtian county of Lishui, Zhejiang province, attracting over 1,100 enterprises that exhibited more than 30,000 imported products.
The expo featured six sections, including wine, international coffee, and imported goods, with 610 professional booths and 300 market booths covering 124,600 square meters.
Peter Lisicky, a Slovakian winery owner, enthusiastically promoted his wines. Having secured a booth with consular assistance, he expressed his eagerness to find partners in the important Chinese market.
High demand for booths was evident, with official delegations from cities in Italy and France attending, highlighting the platform's importance.
Introduced by an Austrian-Chinese mediator, several premium Austrian wine brands participated for the first time, showing renewed confidence in China.
The expo has now evolved into a diversified platform, with a Burundian coffee exhibitor expressing strong optimism about the Chinese market, and a first-time Vietnamese coffee vendor reaching initial deals with three Chinese buyers on the opening day.
Qingtian county utilizes its status as a hometown of overseas Chinese to host the expo. Chen Zhicheng, deputy director-general of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, said that the event has become a key platform for integrating into domestic and international economic circulation.
