A month-long vocational training program in Benin has strengthened skills exchange between China and Africa, equipping local learners with key automotive and motorcycle repair expertise.

Benin Automotive and Motorcycle Repair Overseas Training Program concluded on Dec 27, after 30 days of intensive instruction for 60 Beninese participants. The program was led by Ningbo Polytechnic University and delivered by instructors from Yinzhou Vocational High School, who brought years of hands-on teaching and industry experience to the project.

The curriculum was tailored to local needs and covered five main modules: common automotive fault diagnosis, vehicle maintenance, electrical and electronic repair, motorcycle construction and repair, and vehicle window and color film application.

Teachers Wang Chengbo and Xin Chaoqun conducted extensive local research, analyzed typical faults, and developed teaching materials, while Zheng Junqiang and craftsman Wu Guanghui adapted the content to Beninese vehicle models.

To ensure practical training, the teaching team shipped five boxes of specialized equipment to Benin to address local shortages. The blended program combined five and a half days of on-site workshops with a day and a half of online Q&A. Participants engaged actively, creating a dynamic learning community, and praised the program for teaching not only repair skills but also systematic problem-solving.

Since 2018, Yinzhou Vocational High School has expanded its international vocational education partnerships to countries including Romania, Grenada, Mali, and Nepal. This project marks another step in deepening China-Africa skills exchange.
