Zhoushan's exit and entry services handled a record 21,773 cross-border vessels in 2025, up 15.9 percent year-on-year.
The city's inspection station oversees all entry and exit procedures at nine port areas, 14 open anchorages, 67 foreign-related enterprises, and Zhoushan Putuoshan Airport. In addition to vessel inspections, it handled 304,000 passenger and crew movements, up 15.1 percent year-on-year, and facilitated 312 international flights, serving over 28,000 air passengers.
To support local economic growth, the station collaborated with provincial and regional authorities to implement nine measures that facilitate the movement of bulk commodities, including paperless declarations and tailored clearance measures.
For the shipbuilding sector, it introduced China's first administrative guidelines for enterprises involved in foreign-related ship repair, overseeing more than 3,000 such projects. The station also played a key role in the oil and gas industry, contributing to Zhoushan's bonded marine fuel supply surpassing 8 million metric tons.
Aligned with national policies for smoother border crossings, the station has streamlined procedures for cruise tourism, implementing a 15-day visa-free entry policy for eligible foreign tour groups.
The station plans to continue upgrading its services, with a focus on high-quality economic development and on strengthening Zhoushan's role as an international maritime hub.
