Huzhou childrenswear companies venture into new markets
In Zhili town, a leading hub for childrenswear manufacturing in China located in Wuxing district, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, local companies are seeking to diversify and capture emerging market trends.
Huzhou Jintongwang Garment has launched a dedicated brand for teenage apparel, extending sizes up to 185 and targeting the 12-18 age group.
"Initially designed for teenagers, the simple and versatile styles have unexpectedly become popular among parents, turning our products into a hit for parent-child matching outfits," said Ma Chao, marketing director of the company's youth brand.
Zhili is home to the country's largest childrenswear industry cluster, boasting a complete industrial ecosystem that covers creative design, R&D, manufacturing, online and offline sales, logistics, and brand operations.

"We encourage enterprises to precisely target diverse consumer needs and specialize in niche segments," said Ma Yaojing, director of Wuxing district's childrenswear industry development center.
Zhili's garment enterprises are also expanding into the pet clothing market. With the rise of the pet economy, childrenswear companies like Huzhou Beitini Clothing have launched a range of pet apparel.
Xu Zhiming, general manager of Beitini, said that the booming pet economy and low transformation costs have quickly yielded results, with plans to participate in domestic and international pet product exhibitions to expand their market reach.
