State-owned enterprises in Zhejiang province have been making breakthroughs in opening-up efforts since the start of 2026, with progress spanning international shipping, air logistics, and overseas project development.
At the Chuanshan port area of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, the container vessel MSC Jessenia R departed on Jan 8, marking the launch of a new direct shipping route linking Ningbo and Brisbane, Australia, with a transit time of 14 days.
In air logistics, a new Wenzhou–Jakarta international cargo charter route made its inaugural flight at Wenzhou Longwan International Airport. Previously, fresh products imported from Indonesia had to clear customs at Fuzhou Changle International Airport before being transported by land to Wenzhou and nearby areas. The new direct route has cut delivery times from about two weeks to just a few hours.
Zhejiang Construction Investment Group has advanced multiple international projects, including the groundbreaking of a 1,000-unit housing project in Tebessa Province, Algeria, and progress to the girder production stage for a central expressway project in Sri Lanka.
Hangzhou Iron & Steel Group has achieved phased progress on an auxiliary project supporting an electrolytic aluminum facility in North Kalimantan, Indonesia, promoting local development through green industrial cooperation.
Meanwhile, a WD200-7700 wind turbine developed by Windey Energy Technology Group under Zhejiang Machinery and Electrical Group has been successfully commissioned and is now operating steadily in Saudi Arabia.
