Cross-border e-commerce activity is picking up ahead of Spring Festival, with order volumes rising sharply as consumers stock up on imported Chinese New Year goods.
Driven by strong pre-holiday demand, sales of imported products such as baby formula, pet food, and smart household appliances have increased by about 60 percent compared with normal periods.
Customs authorities have said that enhanced coordination between customs offices and comprehensive bonded zones has helped keep cross-border logistics running smoothly during the peak season. Measures, including streamlined inspections and flexible scheduling, have been implemented to ensure goods are cleared efficiently and delivered to consumers on time.
