The Yixin'ou (Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe) China-Europe freight train service handled 42,000 twenty-foot equivalent units of export containers in the first quarter, up 21.5 percent year-on-year, according to data released by Hangzhou Customs on April 14.

In addition to traditional exports such as electronics and daily goods, the trains are carrying a growing number of higher-value products, including solar panels, auto parts, and smart electronic devices.

As one of China's key hubs for China-Europe freight train services, the Yixin'ou network now operates 26 stable routes linking more than 160 cities in over 50 countries and regions across Asia and Europe. Each year, it helps send more than 100,000 types of goods to overseas markets.

Yang Gang, head of the third supervision section at Jinhua Customs under Hangzhou Customs, said the next step will be to build on the China-Europe freight train consolidation center, further optimize customs clearance services, upgrade smart supervision tools, and expand international intermodal transport channels to improve operating efficiency and service quality.
