Nearly 50 visitors from more than 10 countries, including the United States, Italy, Canada, Russia, and Pakistan, visited Haining, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on May 17, where they experienced local scenery, traditional crafts, and water-town culture.

The group first traveled along the Wengjin Line, one of China's first national tourism highways, where they cycled and walked alongside the Qiantang River. Lined with century-old trees, the route offered a chance to enjoy the riverside landscape and outdoor recreation.

After the riverside tour, the visitors explored Yanguan Ancient Town. At the Liankaitang workshop, they observed traditional armor-making techniques and learned about Chinese craftsmanship. They then visited the historic Chen Ge Lao Residence, whose traditional architecture and courtyard design reflect the area's cultural heritage.

The group later toured the ancient town by boat and climbed the historic city walls to view the Qiantang River. One of the most popular activities was an intangible cultural heritage experience, where participants learned basic bamboo weaving techniques and created small handmade crafts under the guidance of local instructors.
