The Zhejiang Committee of 100 of Digital Economy held a roundtable seminar on cultivating AI service providers for Zhejiang's manufacturing industry in Shaoxing on May 23. 

As a pilot city for "AI and manufacturing", Shaoxing has drawn on its strong industries in textile dyeing and printing as well as automotive components to accumulate substantial experience in intelligent transformation practices.

Participants at the seminar conducted on-site visits to local enterprises to investigate the operational models of the textile dyeing industry's data-driven brains, gaining insights into the achievements of industrial digital transformation and the current state of AI technology applications.

Digital service providers in Zhejiang have developed into three main categories: comprehensive, industry-specific, and scenario-based, with an overall cultivation system that is becoming more refined.

Experts noted that the digital and intelligent transformation of the manufacturing sector has now entered the stage of large-scale promotion. However, challenges such as insufficient service capabilities and low supply-demand alignment remain. The experts offered multi-dimensional strategies for upgrading and development.

Drawing on the key characteristics of the industries, the participants proposed directions for upgrading local AI service providers, phased cultivation strategies, and approaches for industry integration.

They advocated establishing a framework to align technology with the manufacturing sector. The seminar fostered a shared vision for development, and resources will be consolidated to promote the steady growth of the AI service industry within Zhejiang province.
