A tea culture event was held at Zhejiang Normal University in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on May 23, showcasing tea customs and cultural features from over 10 countries and regions, including Morocco, Indonesia, and Azerbaijan, highlighting the allure of diverse cultures.

The venue was divided into seven zones, focusing on tea experiences, traditional crafts and games, and international exchanges.

In the Chinese tea zone, participants tasted six major types of tea and experienced customs like a Song Dynasty (960-1279) tea-making ceremony.

An intangible cultural heritage workshop offered visitors the chance to try crafts like woodblock printing, tie-dyeing, and traditional sachet making, giving them an appreciation for traditional craftsmanship.

Traditional games like chuiwan (a traditional sport that resembles present-day golf) and touhu (throwing arrows into wine pitchers), along with dragon and lion dances, hanfu (traditional Chinese costumes) fashion shows, and cultural performances, kept the atmosphere lively.

The international tea zone was a highlight, with international students showcasing their countries' unique teas and snacks, sharing stories related to tea culture, and engaging in cross-cultural exchanges.

Simultaneously, the university collaborated with five overseas Confucius Institutes to hold a series of tea culture events, promoting Chinese tea culture and traditional crafts through immersive experiences while fostering mutual appreciation of different cultures.
