Zhejiang hosts cross-border e-commerce service season event in Taizhou
The main event of a provincial cross-border e-commerce service season was held on June 2 in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, bringing together more than 1,500 representatives from local governments, major platforms, service providers, and exporters.
Zhejiang's cross-border e-commerce exports grew 27.3 percent year-on-year from January to April, highlighting the sector's continued expansion. The province also ranked second nationwide in total cross-border e-commerce export scale in 2025.
At the event, six major industrial clusters from across Zhejiang showcased their products, while 19 major platforms including Amazon Global Selling and Alibaba, along with more than 120 service providers, set up exhibition and matchmaking zones. The 8,000-square-meter venue hosted policy consultations, product sourcing, and business negotiations covering logistics, payments, AI tools, and supply chain services.
Taizhou's manufacturing base, particularly in sectors such as electrical equipment and industrial products, is playing a key role in supporting export growth. The city has more than 30 industrial clusters valued at over 10 billion yuan ($1.47 billion) each and has developed cross-border e-commerce pilot zones to integrate manufacturing with online trade channels.
Participants also highlighted the growing use of digital tools in the sector. AI-based systems are now being used for store management, data monitoring, inventory tracking, and financial reconciliation, helping companies improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
The service season will continue with further matchmaking events to support brand expansion overseas and strengthen Zhejiang's cross-border e-commerce ecosystem.
