Traditional delicacy adds to festive fun in Lishui

Celebrating Dragon Boat Festival that falls on June 19 this year, a 12-meter-long zongzi was crafted at an intangible cultural heritage fair in Suichang county, Lishui, Zhejiang province, on June 14.
Zongzi is a traditional treat made of glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo leaves for the annual festival.
Recognized as a provincial-level intangible cultural heritage item, Suichang's traditional zongzi, renowned for their amazing length, embody the traditional value of family reunion and symbolize enduring blessings.
Artisans demonstrated the ancient zongzi-making techniques on-site, and attendees were treated to complimentary tastings of the distinctive flavors.
The event offered a unique opportunity for locals and visitors to experience local customs and traditions firsthand.
