Huzhou rural tourism project wins Red Dot's award
The Anji Hood project, a cultural and tourism complex centered on Anji baicha — a type of green tea — in Xilong township, Anji county, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, has been awarded the "Red Dot: Best of the Best" in the Red Dot Design Award.
This recognition highlights the project's innovative design, distinguishing it from over 3,000 global entries.
In 2018, Xilong township, known as the core production area for Anji baicha, partnered with Shanghai Aijia Group to develop the "China Anji Baicha Town". The Anji Hood project was launched the following year.
The project transformed idle rural spaces into immersive cultural and tourism destinations. The One Leaf Tea Drink venue is a popular attraction offering sweeping views of the vast expanse of tea fields through its floor-to-ceiling windows.
The Anji Creative Design Center, part of the Anji Hood project, won the German iF Design Award for its unique spatial design in 2025.

By attracting young talent through innovative concepts such as the "digital nomad" community to revitalize the local tea industry, Xilong offers affordable, high-quality living and working spaces, drawing more than 15,000 young people over the past five years.
The project also transformed traditional stalls of the local Anji baicha market into cabins with views of lush tea fields, offering immersive experiences such as tea picking and tasting. This innovative approach has led to a steady year-round influx of visitors, boosting local economic growth and driving sustainable rural development.
