A total of 2,650 eligible veteran Communist Party of China (CPC) members in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, are set to receive commemorative medals marking 50 years of Party membership.

Ceremonies have been held across the city to honor long-serving members and encourage younger Party members to learn from their dedication and commitment. In Chengnan town of Wenling, more than 50 new and veteran Party members gathered for a themed event, during which 10 senior members were presented with commemorative medals.

The event also included activities designed to strengthen intergenerational exchanges among members. Veterans received commemorative cards and gifts marking their "political birthdays", while all members took part in cultural activities together and watched films highlighting revolutionary history.

In Hengjie town of Luqiao district, nearly 200 rural Party members attended a training session featuring an oath renewal ceremony and the presentation of medals to 12 veterans.

The medals are being presented through ceremonies, meetings, and home visits across Taizhou as part of a recognition program that honors long-serving members while encouraging younger generations to carry forward the spirit of dedication and public service.
