Coordinated water-spray performances and firefighting-themed demonstrations were held on July 3 in Haining, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, as part of the city's "Water Dragon" folk festival.

The event saw 77 water guns activated simultaneously, sending streams of water into the air to form a striking "water dragon" display.

The Water Dragon Festival, a traditional local custom, is rooted in folk prayers for favorable weather and good harvests. The festival has now evolved into a fire safety drill and local cultural event, and is recognized as a representative intangible cultural heritage project in Jiaxing.

This year's event combined traditional rituals with modern firefighting elements, including live water rescue demonstrations, offering residents an immersive cultural experience that links heritage preservation with public safety education.
